Musical Games, Brain Breaks, Listen & Move drama

When COVID-19 hit the world, suddenly singing became a bad idea and singing was then banned at school, festivals, church and sunday school. But kids love singing and I do too! What was I to do? How could we still use music but not sing? Then a bright idea came to mind. Why not use musical games? So I decided to put together copyright free music for teachers, kids ministry volunteers and parents. I scoured youtube audio library to find just the right songs for musical chairs, hot potato, freeze dance, musical statues, pass the parcel, etc. I uploaded my first freeze dance music and people like you used it, liked it and shared it all over the world. So a ‘sub-niche’ was born on my channel: Musical games with STOPS. Why stops? Because it makes it so easy for one person to lead the game. It has been a welcome addition to my lessons and I’ve even used the music to reinforce my lesson concepts for learning.

My most popular freeze music with stops are on this playlist. Perfectly timed for the freeze dance, musical statues, hot potato and brain breaks. All music is copyright free with a variety of genres - jazz, pop, rock, folk, salsa, retro and holiday music for birthdays, christmas, valentines, thanksgiving, patriotic, easter, st. patrick’s day, hanukkah and more.

On this playlist is musical chairs music that stops. Music has perfectly timed stops so you can pull out a chair and keep the game going. You’ll hear jazz, pop, rock, folk, salsa, retro, holiday music for birthday, christmas, valentines, patriotic, etc. All music is copyright free.

This hot potato music with stops is very popular. It’s fun and has all the stops perfectly timed so you can continue gameplay easily. And the music is cool enough for the young and old. Enjoy this one. It is really hot!

This playlist is full of musical activities, brain breaks and drama activity that focuses on listening and moving. This music is popular with all types of educators. Have a look through and see if something suits your lessons. You can download the teaching booklet for this game here.
